Our History and Connections With Charlbury

Charlbury Dental Practice has been in Charlbury since 1978 when Mary Robson opened the Market Street / Thames Street surgery in tiny one-up one-down premises. By 1984 the practice had grown until the books and the surgery were bursting at the seams.

Relocation to the Spendlove Centre

Relocation to the Spendlove Centre allowed the practice to expand, taking on more staff, dentists, hygienists and patients. Also at that time Mary became an accredited postgraduate trainer for newly qualified dental graduates.

The current premises accommodates dedicated surgeries for our dentists and dental hygieinists. The building is highly accessible with level access to all areas of the practice.

Charlbury’s local dental practice

We are very conveniently located in the heart of Charlbury, adjacent to the town’s Co-op supermarket, and with plenty of parking on our doorstep.

We are delighted that, since setting up in Charlbury, we have been able to provide employment opportunities for more than 50 local people.  Today most of our staff live locally and, with a core team in Charlbury itself, we are able to remain open whatever the weather.

The railway station on the Oxford to Worcester line is within comfortable walking distance of our practice.
