Mary Robson, Dentist (Practice Principal)
Dentist, Registered 1974, GDC Reg. No: 48513; Qualifications: BDS Lond 1974; DGDP(UK) 1992

I love dentistry and enjoy achieving excellent results for patients, whatever their dental needs and wants. I am interested in all aspects of dentistry, and particularly enjoy helping patients with cosmetic dentistry, smile design and occlusal (bite) problems.

more about Mary

I qualified in 1974 from King's College Dental Hospital, London. I then spent 4 years gaining experience as an Associate dentist in 4 practices in the South of England and Oxfordshire, before coming to Charlbury in 1976.

I opened Charlbury Dental Practice in Thames Street in Charlbury in 1978, since when, and through two relocations, I have enjoyed the privilege of caring for the oral health of the people of Charlbury and the surrounding areas of Oxfordshire, and many from much further afield. I have also had 2 years (part time) experience of hospital dentistry and oral surgery, looking after medically compromised patients unable to have dental care in general practice.

I very much enjoy living in Charlbury. I have two adult sons who have both now flown the nest, leaving me a little more time to pursue my interests outside dentistry, including sailing, and practising public speaking with the Oxford Speaker's Club.

Kamini Patel, Dentist
Registered 1997, GDC Reg. No: 73401; Qualifications: BDS Lond 1997, MFGDP(UK) 2005

I am very pleased that I decided to become a Dentist and I am excited now to be practicing Implant Dentistry alongside General Practice. I enjoy working with my patients to provide the care that they need and to help them to look after their teeth. I especially enjoy caring for nervous patients and am pleased to be able to help them to manage any treatment.

more about Kamini

I qualified from Kings College London and then held a hospital post in Restorative and Children's Dentistry at Kings College Dental School. I entered General Practice in 1999 having completed my Vocational Training. I have recently been undertaking a 4-year course in Implant Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital's International Centre for Excellence in Dentistry. I have been a Vocational Trainer, a member of my Local Dental Committee for 10 years, and a Dental Advisory Committee Member at Kings College Hospital. Before joining Charlbury Dental Practice I was working in a family practice in south London – quite a different part of the world!

When I am not at work I enjoy keeping fit by going to the gym and boxing; I play the guitar, and I love to spend time with my young niece.

Alison Zalinski, Dental Hygienist
RDH, Registered 1988, GDC Reg. No: 3475

I qualified as both a Hygienist and Dental Therapist in 1988 at the Royal London Hospital. I have been with Charlbury Dental Practice since October 1994, working part-time since 2001.

more about Alison

I have 2 children, a girl and a boy, but am still able regularly to go on courses to keep updated with current research and working practices in dentistry and oral health.

Outside work I enjoy cooking and entertaining, reading and running, and I volunteer for our local branch of Save the Children.

Sacha Saunders, Dental Hygienist
RDH, Registered 1997, GDC Reg. No: 5271

I qualified as a Hygienist in 1997 at the University of Wales Dental Hospital, Cardiff. I have been with Charlbury Dental Practice since 2003 and work full time between here and 2 other dental practices.

more about Sacha

I attend courses regularly to keep updated in all aspects of dentistry and oral health.

In my spare time I am an avid committee member and fund raiser for various local concerns.

Judi Parker, Practice Manager

I started working for Mary back in August 1984, originally as a part-time receptionist, and I’ve been here ever since, growing within the role and becoming Practice Manager in 1994.

more about Judi

My role is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the practice as a whole; this certainly provides me with a very varied and challenging workload and keeps me on my toes!

We are a happy team and each give something different to the practice, together making it a place to be proud of. A lot of our patients feel like old friends and it’s always a pleasure to see them.

I have 2 grown up children and enjoy foreign travel. I have just acquired Monty, a Springer Spaniel puppy, which certainly keeps me on my toes for the rest of my time!

Lesley Sherbourne, Dental Receptionist

I first joined this practice in August 1998 and left in 2001 only to rejoin in January 2004! Being at the front desk is a lovely way of meeting and greeting people and I hope my role within the practice helps all our patients to feel at ease and happy to be in our care.

more about Lesley

I have 4 children and 2 grandchildren and consider myself to be the “mother hen” of the practice!

Renae Liddell, Decontamination Assistant

I enjoyed worked in dental nursing in Australia for two years before setting off on my travels and am delighted to have found this opportunity to join a dental practice so near my new home.

Australian by birth, Australian by nature. I love the outdoors, especially when the sun is shining. I moved to the UK in 2007. I am happily married to my English husband and we have an adorable little boy.

Ellen Hurst, Dental Nurse
RDN, Registered 2007, GDC Reg. No: 117467

I joined the practice in January 2003 and passed my National Certificate in May 2005 and my Dental Radiography Certificate in December 2007. Working part-time lets me have time to look after my 2 children.

I am always keen to enhance my role within the practice and have just completed a course in Decontamination and Infection Control.

I am one of the Practice's first aiders.

Emma Mortimer, Dental Nurse

I am currently training to be an Oral Health Educator. Also I am one of the Practice's first aiders.

Kate Worton, Dental Nurse
RDN, Registered 2008, GDC Reg. No: 142396

I first joined the practice in September 2003, leaving in 2006 to explore other avenues of dentistry, before returning in March 2008! I am enjoying getting back into the swing of things after my maternity leave and can’t believe that Daisy has already had her first birthday!

Harriet Price, Dental Nurse
RDN, Registered 2010, GDC Reg. No: 195210

I am the newest member of the team.  I started here, as a Dental Nurse in training, in January 2010.  I have been made to feel I am fitting in well and I have recently qualified and gained my registration. I am now looking to go on more courses to further my career.

I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and adopted cat, Jack.  I have recently become a home owner and am enjoying the freedom - but not enjoying paying the bills!
