We pride ourselves on our excellent patient care from beginning to end from our dedicated team of dentists, hygienists, oral health educator, practice manager, receptionists and nurses.

Dentists
Dr Kam Patel

BDS (Lond) MFGDP (UK) Dip.Imp.Dent
GDC No. 73401
Kam qualified from Kings College London and then held a hospital post in Restorative and Children's Dentistry at Kings College Dental School. She has taken a 4-year post-graduate course in Implant Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital's International Centre for Excellence in Dentistry in London, and has been awarded a Diploma with Distinction. Kam has been a Vocational Trainer, a member of her Local Dental Committee for 10 years, and a Dental Advisory Committee Member at Kings College Hospital. When she is not at work she keeps fit by running circles around her baby daughter Maya and she enjoys boxing training.
Dr Bhavin Patel

GDC No. 244662
Bhavin qualified from Cardiff Dental School in 2013 and returned to his local area of Oxford to work as general dentist for 3 years. He then decided to follow his passion of travelling and worked abroad in Australia. Bhavin has now returned and enjoys spending time with his leap year baby! He is a sports enthusiast and loves the outdoors. Since qualifying he has completed his MJDF and is Invisalign accredited. He is a gentle and caring dentist who takes passion in building good rapport with his patients so that they feel completely at ease with any treatment needed.
Dr Amir Mirzaei

GDC No. 258325
Amir qualified from Plymouth Dental School and then started practicing in South Wales before relocating to Oxford. He has taken multiple short term orthodontic and advanced restorative courses notably a PGCert in Restorative Dentistry from Tipton's Dental Training. Amir is an Invisalign provider and has special interest in minimally invasive interventions. Amir enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling and skiing. He also has some cooking skills with an exceptional recipe for saffron rice!
Dr Samantha Cottam

GDC No. 270984
Sam qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2017. Since graduating, Sam has been working in general practice and in Oral and Maxillofacial Departments in both Southampton and Swindon. She has a passion for oral surgery which she developed further through her hospital roles. Sam is also trained in intravenous sedation which enables her to help her anxious patients. Building up a good rapport and relationship with her patients is something which is very important to Sam, particularly anxious patients to help with their confidence. When not at work Sam enjoys sewing, crochet and cross-stitching as well as tap dancing and skiing which she has done for most of her life. She also has a great love of dogs, especially her family dog, Merlin the Beagle.
Dr Hannah B-Gleeson

Hannah graduated Dentistry with a First Class Honours degree in 2018, prior to which she gained a First Class Honours degree in Biochemistry both from Cardiff University. Hannah was awarded Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow). Hannah has an interest in regenerative and restorative dentistry, an area in which she continues to publish and present work. Hannah grew up in the Cotswolds and is excited to have returned having followed in her mother’s footsteps (Helen James). Hannah has a peaceful and empathetic demeanour. She enjoys taking the time to get to know her patients to ensure she can provide the best quality of care. In her free time Hannah enjoys playing tennis and skiing, watching rugby (a die-hard Welsh fan) and spending time with friends and family.
Hygienists
Carly Seely-Haines

GDC No. 172607
Carly qualified in 2018 from Barts and the Royal London University. Whilst studying she won the future of dentistry award, for Student Dental Hygiene and Therapy of the year UK. She was also awarded the Oral-B and Dentsply award from her university for both her final clinical and written exam results. Carly started her career in dentistry over 13 years ago and has grown increasingly passionate about her role in patients' oral health. She strives to provide the best possible treatment and preventative advice for each individual patient in a relaxed and friendly manner. Out of work Carly enjoys spending time with friends, family and her dog, Jenson.
Joanna Mann Bsc (Birm)

GDC No. 267881
Joanna graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2016. She has a deep interest in assisting her patients to take control of their oral health, both in a surgical setting and their continued maintenance at home. Joanna understands the difficulties that the continued maintenance of oral health can pose. Therefore, she sees a big part of her job is to motivate her patients, teach oral hygiene maintenance techniques and to provide diet advice. Joanna prides herself in her abilities to help and support anxious and phobic patients by providing the best quality care tailored to each individual. Her particular area of interest is tooth whitening and skin rejuvenation including anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers. In her spare time, she enjoys high-intensity training and walking her dog.
Elena Baravi Bsc (Birm)

GDC No. 248092
Elena qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2013. She has established herself as a friendly, personable and gentle hygienist who loves working with her patients to overcome their fear. Over the years, Elena has continued to keep up with the latest and most advanced skills and developments by continually attending courses. She has completed a Dental Hypnosis course which enables her to make her patients feel at ease. She is also trained to provide a range of facial aesthetic treatments, such as wrinkle relaxation, natural filler enhancements and facial rejuvenation. Outside of work, Elena is an avid Latin dancer and enjoys a variation of salsa, bachata and kizomba.
Nursing Team
Sam Nevey

GDC No. 237907
Sam has been a dental nurse since 2010 and enjoys getting to know our patients. She recently completed her radiography course enabling her to take x-rays. She has also worked as a dental technician in the past. When she is not at work she enjoys playing with her cat, Harris and reading as she is a complete bookworm.
Stephanie Bass

GDC No. 121632
Stephanie has been working as a dental nurse since 1994. She qualified here at the Charlbury Dental Practice under Mary Robson and worked for this practice 6 years. She has just recently returned after a long spell of working in different dental practices in Oxfordshire. She also holds a radiography qualification.
Stephanie is married with two daughters and enjoys listening to music, pottering around in the garden and aspires to take up line dancing again.
Alexandra James-Hiscock

Alix joined our practice at the end of December. She has recently moved to Oxfordshire from the West Country where she worked in hospital theatres as an Operating Department Practitioner. Alix is an enthusiastic learner and is enjoying learning a new speciality in dentistry. She has three children and in her free time, she loves going running with her husband and getting her lashes done.
Administration and Reception Team
Carolyn Ramsay

Carolyn first joined the reception team on a locum basis in November 2011 before heading off to explore New Zealand. Since January 2013 she has been assisting with the practice management on a locum basis.
She brings a great wealth of experience in Dental Practice Management and customer care to our surgery and is well equipped to deal with any challenges thrown her way.
Lesley Sherbourne

Lesley first joined the practice in August 1998 and left in 2001 only to re-join in January 2004! Being at the front desk is a lovely way of meeting and greeting people and she hopes her role within the practice helps all our patients to feel at ease and happy to be in our care.
She has 4 children and 4 grandchildren and considers herself to be the "mother hen" of the practice!
Natalie Perry

Natalie joined our Practice in October. She is new to dentistry but looking forward to gaining new skills and learning about the industry. Natalie has spent the last 10 years in the care sector but is enjoying the change of environment and her new career. In her spare time she enjoys going on walks with her 2 cocker spaniels Bella and Pippa, as well as spending time with family and friends.
Gemma Stuart

GDC No. 216677
Gemma started working as a Dental Nurse in 2007, she first joined the practice in 2015 and left in 2017 to work in Orthodontics. She re-joined the practice in September 2020 taking on a different role as a Dental Receptionist.
