What are facial fillers?

Facial fillers, also known as dermal fillers, are non-surgical cosmetic procedures that can potentially correct asymmetrical lips, boost lip volume and regularise the contour of your face.  Facial fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid which is a naturally occurring substance in the body, mainly in the skin, connective tissue and eyes. Its primary function in the body is to retain fluid to keep structures full and well lubricated.

Over time the production of hyaluronic acid slows down. Facial fillers containing hyaluronic acid help replace the lost structure and volume to the tissues. During treatment, hyaluronic acid is treated into very specific parts of the facial skin with an ultra-fine needle.
